It has taken quite some time to get to this stage: sourcing suppliers, furniture design and finishing decisions, finding financing, lots of learning about trading this side of the Atlantic, a new baby - the list is endless!
Some shoppers may already know us, having bought from one of our highly successful UK web shops, and other shoppers may never have come across us before. Well for the benefit of those who don’t know us: I am Katrina Miller and I run Heritage Interiors alongside my husband Shaun. Shaun has been in the furniture industry for over 19 years, he started out restoring antique furniture then grew to owning a handful of thriving retail shops. Shaun was destined to be involved in the furniture industry given that his father and grandfather were both French polishers, a skill Shaun learnt early in life.
A few years ago we noticed that European shopping trends were changing causing us to make the transition from bricks and mortar to online selling. It was at this time that I joined the company, shortly after the birth of our first son, Toby.
Today, Shaun and I thoroughly enjoy running our web shops together and are trying hard to build a reputable, reliable and trustworthy name. We realise that a specialty is important for any business and after substantial consumer testing we have settled on excelling in providing stylish, high quality and affordable reclaimed wood products. We, like many of you, feel it is important to be environmentally responsible and if we can provide a way for our customers to furnish their homes in style, at the right price, with high quality furniture and in an eco-friendly manner – then that’s perfect!
